Ancient Dryads: Relations

The Ancient Dryads are a mysterious, dangerous and fanatical tribe with members from all four homin races, worshipping the Kami and hiding away in the mazy Grove of Confusion. Not much is known about them as they react hostile to almost all outsiders, attacking anyone who comes too close to their camp except Zoraï who don't follow the Karavan. And they have a particular hatred for the groups that oppose their rule of Grove of Confusion; the nation of the Matis and the tribe of the Sap Slaves.

	Leader: King Yrkanis
The Matis are a sophisticated, cultured and ambitious people. They master botany and build their homes and tools from living plants. Both artists and conquerors, they believe each homin must earn its place inside society. They are the most faithful followers of the Karavan. Most of the Matis live inside the Forest, inside which they established their Kingdom, a monarchy of divine right. They value Loyalty to the King and Jena, Aesthetic fulfillment, and Competition. The citizenship rite allows one to become a Matis Vassal and benefit from various assets and rewards. Their language is Mateis.

	Sap Slaves
	Leader: Chief Beero Antozzo
The Sap Slaves are a tribe of Matis living in the far-off Grove of Confusion. They remain followers of the Karavan and allies of the Matis nation, and their camp is a well-known safe haven for foragers skilled enough to harvest in the region. Kami disciples and Zoraï should be careful when approaching the camp however, as they may be attacked due to their affinity with the Ancient Dryads, another tribe in the region who are at war with the Sap Slaves.
